Betsafe Review

betsafeWe’ve literally never seen a better promotional campaign than the one over at Betsafe. They must have hired a Hollywood director or something. With their tagline ‘In It To Win It’ intertwined with HD video, a cool narrating voice and some amazing cinematography, it certainly gets you in the mood.

But it’s more than just a snazzy promo video that will get us to stick with better online casinos. We put Betsafe through the paces to find out whether it’s worth your money. Find out what our results are below.

New Player Bonus

The new player bonus offered by Betsafe is quite the decent package. You get a 100% deposit bonus up to €200. It’s €100 each in the separate casino lounges they’ve got (Black and Red). So you can always start off with a smaller deposit in one and then follow it up later on.

It’s not the best bonus in town, but it’s definitely enough to get you going. The main thing you want to do at the start of any casino sign-up is to build up your bankroll. Use a combination of slots and table games to get there and don’t try and bet big right off the bat, hoping to get lucky straight away. It’s a sure-fire recipe for disaster!

Existing Player Promotions

Betsafe won’t leave you hanging after you’ve signed up. There are plenty of offers going to keep you coming back for more. They’ve got loads of promotions going across most markets, with the company being particularly strong in offering great slots and sports bonuses.

For example, you’ve got the ‘Snore Draw’. This means that if your match ends in 0-0, you get your money back. Or what about the Ninja Bet? This is an enhanced odds offer where you get the chance of placing a few quid on a single player scoring the winner. Get this one right and you walk away a rich(er) man. There are plenty of others that are similar.

In the casino section, you’ve got reload bonuses (matched bonuses essentially), tournaments, poker welcome bonuses, achievement bonuses and bunch of additional ones to keep you coming back for more. They’re quite generous and they have loads of variety as well, so overall we were quite happy with what was on offer.

Slots and Games

We really like what Betsafe has done here. The casino has split its casino section into two, calling them ‘Casino Red’ and ‘Casino Black’. They each have a distinct look and feel, offering different styles of gaming.

They both have some fantastic titles, including:

  • Super Lucky Frog: It’s a little silly, but good fun nonetheless.
  • Gonzo’s Quest: Loosely based on the stories of the Spanish Conquistadores, why not find out if you can find your fortune?
  • Hall of Gods: We always enjoy a little mythology and this game has the graphics and gameplay to keep us well entertained.
  • Bruce Lee: While it may seem a little sacrilegious to use the image of the martial arts master, this game is amazingly fun. We like the effects and sound bytes; the payouts aren’t bad either!
  • Agent Jane Blonde: Somewhat of a female James Bond, we seemed to get very lucky each time we played. We can’t guarantee you’ll experience the same, but we can definitely say you’ll enjoy the gameplay!

Live Casino

Betsafe has done an excellent job with its Live Casino, really taking advantage of modern technology. The Vegas edition of the roulette game is in full-HD, which is something we haven’t seen with many other casinos.

The gameplay is also fun and speedy; you won’t be lagging even when playing in HD conditions. The dealers are friendly and full of banter, making the experience a lot of fun.

Sports Betting

While we’re usually all about the casino games, we also like the occasional punt on the sports markets. You’ve got it all here, from the classic football matches (Serie A, Champions League, Premier League, Eredivisie, you name it) to more obscure sports like mixed martial arts and handball.

Betsafe also has a wide variety of markets to choose from, making any type of bet possible (within limits, of course). In addition, the sports section offers you a completely separate bonus to the €200 we mentioned earlier on in the review. You get a nice €25 free bet on your first deposit. Can’t really complain about that, can we?

Customer Service

Betsafe has done its homework here. These days, punters need a good level of support as well as a decent FAQ section. We’re an impatient tribe and we don’t like it when we have to wait to have our questions answered, especially when there’s money involved.

That’s why we were glad to see full 24/7 support from Betsafe. Whether you like contacting companies via Live Chat (our preferred method), phone (just call 00356 2260 3036) or sending a good old email, it’s available.
When you join a queue on chat and phone, you don’t have to expect to wait long at all. In fact, most of the time we were served straight away. Sometimes we would be put on hold, but only during peak hours.

For emails, expect a reply within 24 hours. They are usually very good at replying within a few hours and we’ve even received a response back within minutes. Response times are absolutely excellent.

Deposits and Withdrawals

We can’t fault Betsafe at all with their deposits and withdrawals. It’s an absolute breeze to put money in or take it out, several methods are supported and the company is fully secured against fraud so you know your details are completely safe.

Withdrawals in particular were surprisingly easy. Being seasoned online casino vets, we not surprised by casinos asking for our life stories these days. Luckily, Betsafe has enough safeguards in place that it’s usually not necessary to vet people after joining. Nevertheless, it’s always a good idea to have a valid ID and proof of address ready to fire off via email.
